Yoga.....

Sorry for putting up Saturday's blog so late in the day......a number of things came up that required me to leave the coach early this morning, and after a very full day I am finally at a place where I can sit down and put words to the computer screen.

I have known our future daughter-in-law, TBL, used to teach yoga and have been thinking for some time that it would be a good idea to have her teach us some basic yoga so we could practice it while on the road.  As we continue to add years to our age we get a little stiffer year by year in spite of the fact that we stay quite active.  Saturday was the day we set aside for that instruction.

TBL......come on now, I really love to say her name.....Laila.....came over around 9 am to give us the basics.  We cleared off the awning mat and went to work.......

 The Beautiful Laila...aka: yoga instructor

.....for starters we did a 30 minute workout, and she did not go too easy on us.  After our first lesson, and there will be one, or two more before we depart for SLT, we walked over to Simple Simon's for a late breakfast.....the line was literally out the door, and that is pretty typical for a Saturday morning.

This is probably the first time we have had Laila all to our selves without our son Tim.......she is a lot like our son in that she is what I would call an 'old soul'......we are never at a loss for something to talk about with her, or Tim.  They both value the same things we did about the 50's, 60's, 70's, and know a lot about those decades.  I don't want to come across as just 'gushing' about Laila....I feel the same way about all the partners our children have chosen.....they are all very interesting, talented, bright people, and I cannot imagine our lives going forward without them apart of that story.  Laila is merely the most recent addition to our family and we treasure every moment we can spend with her just as we do with Nick, Rod, and Rochelle.

I spent the afternoon helping Nick with some minor repairs to the Riverside home that is in escrow to meet the requirements of escrow.  We only have a few to go and we are there.  The last thing to do is the tenting of the house which will be done by a different company than Terminex this coming Wednesday.....they should close escrow early the week of the 11th.

As we sat eating dinner I remarked to TLE......'...what a nice day Saturday was'.....and it was.

Thanks for stopping by!
