Rainy days and Mondays.......

7:57 am - Tuesday - November 17th - Seal Rock, OR - 59° F, 63% humidity (how is that possible?  It's been raining for 6 hours!), wind 32 mph out of the south.....forecast for today is continued rain with a forecast high of 58° F.  On this date in 2012 we were having an early lunch at a local oldies cafe with our Amazon friends.........↴

Left side, front to back....TLE, Sharon, Pat, Liz; right side, front to back: Moi, Jim, Richard and Michael.....best friends forever....our first time at Amazon, Campbellsville, KY

I was called off work at 10 am due to high winds, and rain, but got a text message from Terry asking me to come done for a few minutes around 11:30 am to help fix the park sign, which had suffered some minor wind damage.....he needed someone to hold the ladder.  I was dressed in less than 10 minutes, walked down to the sign, held the ladder, and was back home in another 15 minutes.  Fortunately it had stopped raining for about 30 minutes so I did not get wet.  In a few minutes I was back in my pajamas, sitting in my recliner, and reading.

The rain came and went all afternoon, and, although it was not too cold, the gusting wind discouraged any outdoor activity.  For the first time since our winter sojourn at the Grand Canyon we have not been able to deploy our patio awning for going on a week now due to the winds, and I am not sure when we will be able to again.

Since I was not working (except for the 15 minutes) and TLE did not go to work until 2 pm, she and I drove into Waldport around 10 am to do our weekly shopping.  For the first time since we arrived the parking lot at Ray's Food Place was virtually empty due to the wind and rain.  We had the supermarket to ourselves for most of the time we were there.

Well, that is the sum total of our Monday.....thanks for stopping by!
