Homeward bound.....

7:08 am - Monday - March 8th - Santa Barbara, CA - 49° F, 77% humidity, wind - zero mph out of the north.....clear, blue skies today with a forecast high of 67° F.  On this date in 2017 we were boondocking near Amboy, CA on old Route 66.......↴

After enjoying 5 straight days of SoCal sunshine we awoke Sunday to heavily overcast skies, and the possibility of rain.  It never really got out of the 50's, so we decided not to take a bike ride.  The rain never materialized, but it stayed cold and breezy much of the day.

Sometimes you just need a day of doing nothing, and I haven't had time to watch the final round of a golf tournament in quite a while, so I spent a chunk of the day watching the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida.  The tournament came right down to the 72nd hole with the long hitting Bryson DeChambeau prevailing in the end over Lee Westwood (British) by one stroke.

TLE and I took time to put our eBikes back on the 1UP USA bike rack, and stow the patio awning, but that was the entire extent of our outdoor activity for the entire day.  Monday we begin, in earnest, our trek back to Seal Rock, OR.  That will give us 5 days in which to cover the final 902 miles translating into 180.4 miles per day.....I think that is doable.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our one month hiatus from Seal Rocks RV Cove, but it is time to return to the nest, and settle in for the next 6 months.  We are looking forward to a wonderful summer with warmer temps, sunshine, lots of walking on the beach, and less rain.....lol!
