The new orange......

8:01 am - Saturday - April 17th - Seal Rock, OR - 43° F, 93% humidity, wind - zero mph out of the north....foggy this morning, clearing later this morning with a forecast high today of 69° F.  On this date in 2014 TLE and I were at Natural Bridges National Monument hiking to the various natural bridges.....↴

Fridays are our Saturdays, and it actually does really feel like Saturday to me, and thus I go through this weekly confusion on our off days forgetting which day it really is.  Regardless of what day it was, it was a beautiful day.  The high got all the way to 79° F.....I'm not personally ready for temps that high, but I shall endeavor to acclimate as soon as possible....lol!

As you know TLE and I bought some Rustoleum spray paint to transform our Adirondack chairs.  You saw what color we chose for the 'lido deck' tables, a very bright green, so what color do you suppose we chose for the chairs?

Well, if you guessed bright orange you would have been correct.  I had to partially disassemble the first chair, and then set up a painting station.....

.....it took a couple of hours to get the first couple of coats on the first chair, and it became obvious pretty early on that the 3 cans we had purchased to paint both chairs would barely be enough to paint the first chair.

By 1:30 pm I needed a break from painting, so after a suitable rest period, we drove into Waldport to have a quite late lunch at Azul Mexican Restaurant.  My co-worker Blake, suggested Azul as an alternative to Fresh Mexican.  I did not even realize there was a second Mexican restaurant in town, so we had to check it out.  They do get 4 stars (Yelp) on 90 reviews, so it was worth the 'risk'.  We arrived just after 2:15 pm......

....and were delighted to see they have an alfresco dining option, so on this warm Oregon afternoon we chose a table outside......

....we both ordered ice tea (they serve no adult beverages, but do offer a 'virgin' Margarita.  TLE chose their Chilé Relleño plate (Wait, what?  That's usually my choice!), while I chose the 2 Shredded Beef Taco Plate.  Both dishes were scrumptious.  They also offer a bacon wrapped shrimp plate, which we will have to try on our next visit.....

Dos Tacos

.....after a quick stop at Ace Hardware to buy four more cans of the Rustoleum Bright Orange spray paint, and a very brief stop at Ray's Food Place we were home a little after 3:30 pm, at which time I applied the final coat of paint to the Adirondack chair, and then began the reassembly after a suitable drying time interval.....

.....I'll disassemble the second chair Saturday, and then our 'lido deck' will be complete.  By the time I finished reassembling the chair it was close to 6 pm, and time to relax outside, and await the coming sunset.  We spent time reading, and listening to the Siriusly Sinatra XM Radio channel.  The sunset, as expected, did not disappoint.......

.....this is the weather for which we have been waiting, and the 'lido deck' is where we plan to spend many evenings enjoying the scenery, and ambiance of our home.  The sun sets around 8:02 pm now, and by 8:15 pm the chill in the air chased us inside for the evening.
