Where are we, Oregon?

6:18 am - Wednesday - June 14th - LPG&RVR - 47° F, humidity 77%, wind 0 mph out of the northwest.......crystal clear, blue, sunny skies today with a forecast high of 73° F.  On this date in 2017 we had just arrived in West Yellowstone and were having dinner with good friend Art Young, whom we first met while working at Amazon (Fernley, NV) in 2014.....↴

It seems that waking up to everything wet outside is becoming the norm....where are we anyway, the Oregon Coast?  We are getting rain showers virtually every single day, and sometimes during the night.  No one enjoys rain on the roof more than I, but this is getting kind of ridiculous.  We are living in the 'high desert' of Northern California....it is time for it to be dry....lol.

We actually did not think it would rain Tuesday, and for much of the day it did not, although it looked threatening on and off.  We went about our normal day off work cleaning inside, and outside.  I actually finally got around to replacing about 7 rivets on the Newell which had popped out during the past year of our north/south travels, and TLE and I took another bike ride into Likely and back.  It was a perfect day until around 3 pm when the skies opened up again for about an hour raining hard at times.  I had left our camp chairs on the 'viewing deck' thinking we would enjoy another early evening outside, so they got soaking wet once again.  I had spent about 30 minutes wiping down the VW, and the front and passenger side of the Newell to remove water spots, which was all undone by the unexpected storm.

I had planned to play another round of golf, but my back stiffened up overnight, so I spent time doing stretching exercises, which helped a lot.  In spite of the rain, it was a lovely last day of our four day weekend, and as is almost always the case, we are both ready to return to work Thursday.

We're getting close to the summer equinox, and you can tell by how high in the sky the sun has gotten in the past few weeks.  In a few days the 'stellar group' will make it annual pilgrimage to LPG&RVR, which is a dark sky community, to spend each night viewing and photographing the stars, and constellations.  Seems weird to realize it will be the 4th of July in less than 3 weeks, and we will be half way through our stay.

By the way, here is a screen shot of my most recent speed test for our Starlink......

.....like I've said before, amazing!

Thanks for stopping by!
