Going batty......

6:42 am - Friday - March 8th - GNHS - 55° F, humidity 64%, wind 3 mph out of the north by northwest......partly cloudy today with a forecast high of 75° F.  On this date in 2014 TLE and I were at Lake Pleasant, AZ......

Those are giant Saguaros

I did all the driving on Tuesday on our 4.5 hour RZR ride, so we decided to take another shorter trip out to the Bat Caves, and let Charles do the driving out and back.  We left around 11 am arriving near the Bat Caves 20 minutes later....

.....at which time we took a brief break to enjoy the beautiful scenery, and take a few pictures.  Soon we were back in the RZR heading to the Bat Caves.....

.....then it was time to begin the return trip to GNHS....we saw a lot of wild flowers beginning to bloom.....

...as well as the site of a terrible RZR accident 3 years ago....the RZR crashed in the middle of a grove of palm trees, and burnt it to the ground....the driver survived.......

Incinerated grove of palm trees

....in all we were gone just under 2 hours, and had a great time!  We bid our adieus until dinner time around 5 pm when we reconvened for dinner on the 'dining/game' deck.  TLE cooked Jambalaya in the Cowboy Wok for our dinner....I think there were a couple of bottles of Catena Malbec enjoyed by all.....

....we dined, sipped vino, and talked until after 7 pm....I wish we were having more fun.....lol!

We're off (Friday morning) in about 2 hours to play golf at Del Rio Golf Course in Brawley, CA....Charles and I are both hoping we don't embarrass ourselves...lol!

Thanks for stopping by!
