Site evolution......

It takes us a couple of weeks, but once we get on a roll there is no stopping us!  We have been gradually deploying stuff around our site, but Friday we went for the 'full Monty'....

.....we put up the sun screen, deployed the anti gravity recliners.........

.....moved the BBQ to the other side of the picnic table, set up two tables, and got out the Coleman 2 burner stove........

.....actually pulled the Cannondale tandem out, put it together, and inflated the tires....it has not been put together since we left TVC last August.......

......got out the Black & Decker Workmate (I've had that since the early 80's....lol)....set up another table to set my tool bags on so I don't have to stand on my head to look for tools anymore......

.....now I have lots of space around my work bench, and can get at everything easily that was always hidden behind the tandem and TLE's bike......YAY!!

In addition to all of the preceding I drove over to the DIY (Do It Yourself) Center on Tahoe Blvd. to buy two more 27" x 60" pieces of plywood to cover my two new solar panels.....I left the ones I used the past two years to cover my original solar panels in the maintenance yard gold cart shed, and retrieved those a few days ago.  Saturday afternoon TLE will help me hoist those 4 pieces of plywood to the roof to cover and protect all four solar panels from large pine cones, which will begin to drop soon.

We convened at John and Deb's site (429) around 4 pm for cocktail hour, and were joined by Gordy, Carol, Phil, Sandy and Gary (all are workers except Gary, who is a customer, but will be here another 6 weeks and is becoming part of the gang).

The temps got into the mid 70's which appears to be the peak of warm weather this time around.....the forecast is for day time temps to drop into the low 60's and high 50's with some overnight temps into the 20's......that is the nature of SLT weather in May.

In closing.....a few months ago we were visited in Riverside by blog readers Guy and Sue who wanted to pick our brains about fulltime living in an RV, and specifically in a Newell Classic like ours.....they are looking to possibly buy a Newell in the near future.  I had gotten an e-mail from Guy a few days ago advising he and Sue were sending us a package via UPS, and it arrived Friday.....included in the box with a cool t-shirt (see picture below) an assortment of several wines.......

......thank you Guy and Sue!

Thanks for stopping by!
