Ride, Captain, Ride......

7:48 am - Wednesday - December 9th - Seal Rock, OR - 45° F, 100% humidity, wind - CALM.  Heavy cloud cover today with a forecast high of 52° F.  On this date in 2016 we were attending the annual 'Parade of Lights' in Wickenburg, AZ with our friends Tom and Darlene........↴

Tuesday was WDS day.....the day every two weeks we clean the filters at the WDS* plant.  It seemed like we had just done this a week ago, but calendar does not lie....it was last done on 11/24/2020.  Not one of my favorite tasks here at SRRVC, but a necessary one, nonetheless.  This was Blake's first time, so it took a little longer than usual (1 hour), as opposed to the normal 30 minutes, as Greg tutored him in the intricacies of removing and reinstalling the poop filters.

For the final hour of my shift I returned to the picnic table I had been preparing to be painted on Monday, and applied a coat of paint, which took about an hour beginning to end.......

About 1/2 done......

.....done!  Only 49 to go....lol!

......TLE was just leaving for work as I arrived home at 12 pm.  She is working three one hour shifts each week (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday), and two 2 hour shifts (Wednesday and Thursday) as the work load has decreased with the onset of the winter season.  After eating a snack I put on my bicycle riding togs and took off on my Cannondale Bad Boy for a 7 mile round trip ride south to BayMart (mini market) and back......

.....why only 7 miles?  Well, I'm trying to find a distance I can do several days in a row before taking a break.  The 10 mile ride down to Waldport and back is fine, but I'm not able to do it at my current condition level more than once ever three, or four days.  I covered the distance in just under 32 minutes averaging 13.5 miles per hour.  I'll see how I feel Wednesday, but as of this writing (8:24 am on Wednesday) I feel good, and am looking forward to riding again this afternoon.....

....TLE prepared her famous enchilada casserole for dinner, and then we watched another Hallmark Christmas movie to close out the evening.  There was a lot of reading before and after dinner.  I was into a real page turner, and didn't want to put it down until I finished it.

Thanks for stopping by!
