The mini......

7:47 am - Sunday - December 6th - Seal Rock, OR - 48° F, 94% humidity, wind - CALM.....heavy overcast now, sun later today with a forecast high of 54°.....rained most of the night into the early morning.

We had the lowest morning humidity reading Saturday we have had in weeks....66%!  Everything outside was dry to the touch....what a unique experience....lol.  We needed to run into Newport to retrieve TLE's new mini iPad at the Verizon store, so we left around 10 am to do just that. Unlike our other visits to this store it was quite crowded this time, so we had to wait about 20 minutes to be served, but, at last, TLE now has her new mini iPad.  Her old one was about 6 years old, and she was about 5 ios updates behind.......

.....this is her third mini iPad since we retired and began our full time travels in the Newell.  She is an Apple person all the way with her iPad and iPhone.  I have no idea how to operate them, and she has no idea how to operate my Android phone.

After the Verizon store we headed a few blocks over to Fred Meyers to do a small shopping, plus TLE wanted to check their upstairs clothing department for some boots.  These Fred Meyers stores are gigantic......

.....containing electronics, furniture, household goods, & grocery departments (of course), and a very large clothing department accessed via an escalator, or elevator to reach the upstairs area.  While TLE checked out the clothing, and then bought a few grocery items I visited the electronics, and household goods departments.

We were home a little after 12 pm, and while TLE spent a good portion of the rest of Saturday learning the ins and outs of her new mini iPad I settled into watch some NCAA football.  There was a forecast of rain for mid afternoon, and it arrived right on schedule, so there went any possibility of frolicking outside.  TLE was in one of her culinary moods, and prepared an excellent baked salmon dish with a side salad for our evening dining pleasure.....

.....and it was as good as it looks.  While we ate dinner we watched Maltese Falcon for the umpteenth time.  The writing and acting is so superb in this film noir, so we watch it whenever given the chance.  For the night cap we watched another Hallmark Christmas movie before calling it a night.
