Game day.......

6:21 am - Sunday - September 10th - LPG&RVR - 44° F, humidity 73%, wind 2 mph out of the southeast......clear, blue skies today (still dark) with a forecast high of 82° F.  On this date in 2021 I was installing new electric brakes on our 2007 American trailer at Seal Rocks RV Cove.....↴

After playing 36 holes of golf in the past two days I decided to change it up a little, and work on a bicycle.  It has been a while since I took a bike apart to clean it, and regrease the wheel, and headset bearings.  Office Kathie gave me her mountain bike a few weeks ago to do just that to it, so I decided Saturday was the day.  It's been too hot the past few weeks, and it gets pretty warm in the trailer on hot days, so Saturday was perfect since it only got to 80° F outdoors.  When I'm working on a bicycle the time just seems to melt away, and before I knew it 5 hours had passed since I began, and it was time for a nap....lol.  I managed to get the bike back together, and the brakes properly adjusted during that time, but I still need to adjust the front and rear derailleurs, so I'll do that on my next 4 day weekend.

Saturday was also the first full day of NCAA college football, and there were a number of good games to watch, the biggest of them was Texas at Alabama.  Texas came into the game ranked #11 in the nation, and Alabama #3.  When the smoke cleared at the end of 60 minutes Texas had toppled Alabama 34-24, and it really wasn't that close.  The night cap game was my USC Trojans playing  Stanford in L.A......the half time score was 49-3....kind of a wipeout.  The final score was 56-10.  USC came into that game ranked #6, so with Alabama losing I'm sure they'll move up a notch, or two.

Saturday was also the weekly putting contest, and it was not my day at all.  I had no feel for the speed of the putting green, and many of my putts went way long.  I managed to finished tied at the end of the first round, but lost in the one hole putt off when my putt went 6' past the hole.  This was a double elimination day, so I had a second chance, and even though my putting stank, I managed to be tied again after 5 holes, losing again in the one hole putt off when my putt went long.....my opponent was way short, but he was 8" closer to the hole than I.

Well, it it back to work for two days (Sunday and Monday), and then a drive up to Klamath Falls for TLE's eye surgery, then one more day of work on Wednesday.  We'll leave Monday after TLE gets off work, get TLE's left eye fixed Tuesday morning, and then drive back to LPG&RVR Tuesday afternoon.

Thanks for stopping by!
