......before heading north briefly on Cherry to Merrill Ave. where I continued on east before once again heading north on Citrus to pick up the Pacific Electric Trail bike path........
Looking eastward from Citrus
......the trail used to end at the Rialto border (Maple Ave.), but Rialto has begun to build its portion of the trail which will eventually end in San Bernardino, and this is why I went a little out of my way.....I wanted to ride on the new 1.2 mile portion that Rialto has added......
Maple Ave......the prior eastern terminus of the Pacific Electric Trail
......if the first 1.2 mile section Rialto has built is any indication of the rest of the trail I am happy as the Fontana section, by comparison, is quite rough.....
.....I finally reached the new eastern terminus of the Pacific Electric Trail at Cactus Ave. in Rialto and then dropped down a block to Rialto and continued eastward to Riverside Drive.....
The new 'temporary' eastern terminus of the PET*
.....Riverside Drive eventually becomes Main Street just after you cross the Santa Ana River and just a couple blocks past that is a trailhead for the Santa Ana River Trail, which I took southward to Fairmont Park where I rode around Lake Evans one more time......
Lake Evans
......once around Lake Evans I merged on to Market Street heading south to Mission Inn Ave. where I made a left stopping just one block later at 'The Coffee Bean' for......no, this time you're wrong.....a cup of coffee before finishing the last .75 miles of my 25 mile ride. As I was getting back on my bike I noticed the cool 4 sided clock announcing the time.....1338....
.....I was home by 1400, and taking a shower by 1420......
I spent the remainder of Tuesday sitting outside listening to 60's music on XM Radio, and reading.......TLE was home by 1700 hours from her visit with Brayden James and his mommy.
Thanks for stopping by!
