Short strokes.....

6:25 am - Wednesday - October 4th - LPG&RVR - 40° F, humidity 90%, wind 0 mph out of the east by southeast......clear, blue skies today (still dark, so cannot verify) with a forecast high of 73° F.  On this date in 2013 TLE and I were working the sugar beet harvest night shift in Sydney, MT.....29° F around 1 am......↴

TLE had the day off work Tuesday, but I was working in place of Walt, so I reported for work around 7:40 am as I always do.  It apparently had been raining most of the night, and was still drizzling when I arrived at the Clubhouse.  There were no golfers scheduled to go out until 10 am, and there was really nothing I could do with everything so wet, so I didn't even stage any golf carts.  No point, since they would be wet by the time someone wanted to play golf, so I gave Kathie a list of the Yamaha carts that were at the front of each row, and headed home.

I returned at 1 pm to give Kathie her lunch break, and after she returned I made a round of the course to find about 16 folks playing golf.  The drizzle had stopped by 10 am, and by 2 pm the course was pretty playable.  There were no carts to wash when I returned, so I headed home again to wait until 4 pm to return and wash whatever carts had been returned.  There were about 10 carts rented, and by 4 pm only 6 had been returned, so I took care of them, and then returned home to pickup TLE and return her to the office to pickup the cash drawer when Kathie was done closing.

It was a very easy workday for me, but now comes Wednesday when we are supposed to begin 'punching' the greens.  I haven't heard anything yet as to whether we will actually start Wednesday, and probably won't know until I report for work at 7:40 am......we'll see.

While I was at home I took down the flag pole on the back of the trailer, and stowed it.  The trailer is  now completely ready for artificial turf, and VW insertion.  We will probably stow the turf Friday after work, so when we return from Montana all that will remain to do is back the trailer out of its summer spot, drop it on the Newell hitch, and insert the VW.  Saturday morning, before we leave for Medford I'll dump our black tank for the final time here at LPG&RVR, then disconnect the city water, so when we return I will only need to disconnect the electrical cord.  We're down to the short strokes baby, and all that remains now is 3 more days of work.

Thanks for stopping by!
