One heck of a busy day......

5:40 am - Saturday - August 16th - LPG&RVR - 56° F, humidity49%, wind 1 mph out of the north by northeast....partly cloudy today with a forecast high of 83° F.  On this date in 2016 TLE and I were hanging out at the Tahoe Commons in South Lake Tahoe.....

.....we rode our bicycles there....good times!  Man, I really miss Lake Tahoe!

Friday we saw a definite surge in golf course activity putting out 23 golf carts....now that is more like it!  It was a very busy day for me, too.  After staging some carts to get the day started I helped Bob try and figure out how to remove the transaxle from Yamaha gasser 119 so he could install the new engine frame.  We spent time checking YouTube for a video which might lend assistance, but were unable to a find a single one.  You may, or may not recall that we found cracks in the original frame about six weeks ago, and finally received the replacement frame a few days ago.  I was unsuccessful in helping him, but then Jose arrived and within an hour they had removed the transaxle.

I headed out to begin my marathon morning of mowing beginning with the 'Night Office' lawn, then moved up to the parking lot grass, then up the hill to the three residential lawns, finishing just before TLE's lunch break.  Over Thursday and Friday I mowed single piece of grass in the park except for the back-in sites, and the tent sites, which I mowed last week.

TLE's lunch break was crazy for me.  I pretty much was on my feet the entire time running credit cards, selling beverages, 18 holes of golf, 9 holes of golf, and renting many, many golf carts.  Usually lunch time is pretty laid back, but not on this day.  By the time the dust settled there must have been 18-20 credit card receipts needing input into the cash register.  My biggest lunch break by a factor of 100....lol.

By the time I finished going over those receipts with TLE it was almost 2 pm, and I still had to mow the tee boxes for which I am responsible.  I didn't get back to the Clubhouse until almost 3 pm, and still had to wash/stow golf carts which had been returned, so was not able to clock out until almost 4 pm.  Yup, that was one busy day!

While I was mowing our good friends Tom and Darlene McCloud arrived in their motorhome for an 8 day stay after spending the summer touring around Alaska, so we will be picking their brains for the next few days about their trip.  Over the years we have been on the road we have spent time (a few times there were 5-6 week stays at their Arizona property) with them every single year until last year when we spent the winter at The Wilson Wilderness, so it was really great to see them, and catch up.  They came over around 6 pm and we spent the next 2 hours talking non-stop.  I'm still smiling this morning as I attempt to transfer my mental ramblings to computer screen.

Thanks for stopping by!
