100,000

When I first started writing this blog the thought that anyone would read it beyond my immediate family, and actually like it was not even in my thoughts.  I thought it would be a good way to keep my kids and relatives updated on our travels, and a great diary to look back upon.  That I would reach the day when there had been 100,000 page views was not even on my radar, but here we are on September 4, 2013 and the page views for my blog have just passed that 6 figure milestone....it wasn't that long ago that we passed 50,000...February 16th I believe.

I am humbled, and grateful to all of you who take time out of your day to follow our travels.  I like writing, and I am glad someone likes to read what I write about what we do.

We spent the better part of the morning preparing for our trip to Dallas, TX Thursday.  We had to check in online to get our boarding passes, and there was the last minute mending and washing.  In case I have forgotten to mention it, we are headed to Dallas, TX for a college reunion.  We have been looking forward to this trip for almost a year now.

Around 1 pm we decided to drive over to this little Latin American cafe called Cafe Carambola just about a mile down the street from where we are staying.  We had walked and driven by it several times so TLE looked it up on Yelp and found they have a solid 5 star rating with over 27 reviews.  Well, any place that gets 5 stars must be visited and evaluated....it is our duty is it not?  The owner classifies her food as Nuevo Latino Fusion.....I classify it as phenomenal, exquisite, a standing ovation kind of food.  I had the Club Style Quesadilla....it was like no other quesadilla I have ever had.  I can't even pronounce the soupTLE had, but the soup of the day she ordered was spectacular, and the Farfalle Pasta salad she had was just amazing, too.

Club Style Quesadilla....OMG

The rest of the day was spent packing, and resting up for our trip south tomorrow morning....we will be up at the crack of dawn, and on our way by 6 am for the drive over to Spokane International Airport to catch our 9 am flight to Dallas.

We finished out the evening watching Master Chef, and then hit the sack for our 6 hours of slumber before our long day of travel.

Thanks for stopping by!
