7:50 am - Monday - September 11th - 49º F, 77% humidity, wind 3 mph out of the east......partly cloudy, but haze has dissipated somewhat.  Forecast high for Gardiner, MT today is 86º F, and 79º F in Mammoth Hot Springs, WY.....heading out on a road trip this morning to visit my sister and husband down near Jackson Hole, WY.....we have the next three days off work and I am feeling much better after resting for two days and taking my antibiotics faithfully.

I woke up Sunday expecting to be well enough to go to work, but TLE, the ear, nose and throat specialist, advised my tonsils were still swollen with a few white spots on the, and I should take one more day of rest.  Being the good patient I am (not usually) I complied and took my first dose of antibiotics for the day.  We had the 'CLOSE' shift Sunday so TLE left for work around 11:45 am (as a cashier her 'CLOSE' shift begins at 12:15 pm).  I remained ensconced in my recliner watching the first of many NFL games.....remember, I have NFL Sunday Ticket so I can watch any game I wish.....no blackouts....I chose to watch the Raiders at the Tennessee Titans, which game the Raiders won.

Unbeknownst to me, three deer had taken up residence on our artificial turf lawn......my friend Roscoe took this picture whilst on his way to work at 10:30......after it was posted on Facebook around noontime by his wife, Geni, I went outside to find the scoundrels relieving themselves on my lawn, so I shooed them away, and then raked what they left behind off the grass and into the dirt.  This is the first time I have seen deer in the RV park....we've seen rabbits and elk, but no deer until Sunday.

Deer love my grass!

Naturally, since I spent all day inside napping, watching NFL football, and watching updates on Hurricane Irma, the deer sighting was the biggest event of the day......other than the return of Nurse TLE from work around 8:30 pm.  Looking forward to 3 days off work and feeling better......thank goodness I had antibiotics readily available to nip the tonsillitis in the bud!

On the hurricane front I am so glad our many friends in Florida have come through Hurricane Irma relatively unscathed, and with little damage to personal property....the biggest thing seems to be a lack of electricity in about 1/2 of Florida.  Cedar Key, FL, one of our favorite places in Florida, has come through pretty much unscathed according to our friends who live there......no rising water, and they still have electricity.

Thanks for stopping by!

    1. It covers the vent at the back of the refrigerator.....helps keep the sun off the vent, and keeps the fridge cooler.

    2. That's funny...I was just about to ask what the little awning was all about.

  2. Survive one of the scariest days/ night of our lives, camped out with motorhome and trailer parked in a warehouse, power is still out but running off a generator. But we're alive! Hope you feel better!
