7 wins on Sunday.......

7:15 am - Monday - October 7th - Ramona, CA - 47° F, 59% humidity, wind - 3 mph out of the east by southeast.......clear, blue skies today with a forecast high of 90° F.  The view this morning......

Philip and Jeannie are gone......😔

When I got up Sunday morning Philip as already beginning to pack up the few things he took out while they were here.  Sunday is always bittersweet when you have friends, or family visiting and it is time for them to return to their workaday lives, and this Sunday was no exception.   By 11 am they were on their way home......

.....I spent the rest of Sunday watching sports, and this Sunday was one of those magical days when every team I rooted for won (Wolverhampton over Manchester City in the English Premier League, Green Bay over Dallas, Denver over the L.A. Chargers, Oakland Raiders over Chicago, Indianapolis over Kansas City, Atlanta Braves over St. Louis, and the L.A. Dodgers over Washington).  My Dodgers came from behind to win scoring 7 runs in the 6th inning with 2 outs.  This rarely every happens to me, so I relished every single minute of Sunday sports viewing.

There was the usual Sunday dumping of the black tank when it had cooled off sufficiently outside.....it got to 91° F Sunday, and we had to run the rear A/C unit for a few hours for the first time in several weeks.  We had planned to move back to site #72 after Phil and Jeannie departed, but by that time it was hot, so we decided to wait until next Saturday when it will be cooler.

About a week ago our Splendid Splendide washer/dryer decided not to go into its spin cycle.  The selection knob would just start clicking around the dial eventually stopping, but the door would never unlock.  TLE did some online checking and found a solution for manually unlocking the door, but that involved removing everything from the pantry, which sits over the Splendide, then removing the top of the unit to get at a little black switch which you could manually switch to open the door.  The only things in the Splendide at the time of its malfunction were my multitudinous micro fiber rags which I use to clean the windows on the car, and Newell, so it was not a big deal to get them out.  At any rate, between sports games, TLE removed all of the pantry items so I could get at the washer.  It only took me about 20 minutes to get the door open, so now we have to call Splendide for a service technician referral to get it fixed.

We were in bed before 10 pm Sunday looking forward to another work week in RORVR....thanks for stopping by!
