Lake Lorenzo.......

7:23 am - Wednesday - October 9th - Ramona, CA - 45° F, 68% humidity, wind - CALM......clear, blue skies today with a forecast high of 77° F.

After taking care of my pool duties I returned to the pond area (called 'Lake' Lorenzo) to finish up the fence work I had begun on Monday.  There were a couple of posts I set Monday with which I was not at all happy, so I removed them, pulled the dirt out of the holes, then reset them before shortening the split rails so the posts would stand more upright.  These were at the entrance to a short trail which takes you down to the pond.  I'm glad I reset them, because they look much better now.....

.....once those posts were reset I was able to assemble the rest of the fence and fill in the post holes.  That section took me up to the tree on the right in the background.....

.....next up were the final six sections to a large boulder where this section of fencing terminates......

The trail down to the pond, which I restored a few weeks ago

.....it took me until just after 3 pm to finish those six sections.  Fortunately there were no large deposits of cement, or large rocks, so these post holes were some of the easiest to dig so far.  Unlike other sections, I had to replace all 6 posts in this section, but was able to salvage all but one of the old split rails.

By the time I had transported all of the waste materials up to the large roll away  in the storage yard and washed my cart it was 4 pm and time to call it a day.  Thankfully, the temps were much cooler Tuesday, and by the time we reached home we just had to open the windows to cool off the interior of the Newell.

We sat outside enjoying the early evening air, which is one of my favorite things to do after a work day.....a very nice way to wind down from the activity of the day.
