A perfect Autumn day......

8:04 am - Sunday - October 27th - Ramona, CA - 41° F, 55% humidity, wind - CALM....clear, blue skies again today with a forecast high of 72° F.

Saturday was a delightful day!  We were outside before 10 am relaxing in our anti gravity chairs watching some college football, and even napping.  I did spend some time atop my telescoping ladder cleaning off my 4 solar panels just in case we have more power outages in the future.  I had noticed Friday that our batteries were not charging as fast as they normally due when we are disconnected from shore power, and an inspection revealed a layer of dirt and grime covering them which would inhibit their charging abilities significantly.  That was the extent of the actual work I did Saturday.  The rest of the day I spent trying not to itch my poison ivy rashes.  The Benadryl Gel does a great job of reducing the 'itch'....I also found that taking a hot shower reduced the itching significantly for hours at a time, so there were a couple of hot showers during the day.....

....around 6 pm we walked up to the Red Barn for the annual RORVR Halloween Party.  Unfortunately, the staff outnumbered customers......almost all of our weekend guests left Friday afternoon due to the local Sawday Truck Trail fire.  We had three people in 'costume', and two of them were staff members Joe and Dave (below).......↴

.....we even had the gas fire pit on in back.......↴

......we used the two gas grills to cook hot dogs and hamburgers, which was pretty easy as there were only 10 of us (7 staff members, and 3 customers) for whom to cook.......↴

......in spite of the low turnout we did have a good time, and were back home a little after 8 pm.

It was the perfect Autumn day Saturday, and there were a number of interesting football games, including three upsets (Oklahoma lost, unexpectedly, 48-41 to Kansas, Texas lost to TCU, and Notre Dame was shellacked by Michigan 45-14 at 'The Big House' in Ann Arbor).  The Houston Astros won for the second night in a row to tie up the World Series at 2 games apiece versus the Washington Nationals, so it looks like we may go seven games to determine this years champion.
