Here one minute, gone the next.....

8:10 am - Wednesday - August 16th - LPG&RVR - 69° F, humidity 36%, wind 0 mph out of the north.....partly cloudy skies today with a forecast high of 92° F.  This will be the last day in the 90's for the next two weeks......↴

......on this date in 2020 TLE and I were 'courtesy parking' on the property of goof friends near Coupeville, WA (Whidbey Island)......

Tuesday saw another 94° F day, but the residual heat from Monday's 94° F day made it feel somewhat hotter earlier in the day, and lasted later into the evening.  I did manage to wash and vacuum the VW before it got too warm, but that was pretty much the extent of my outdoor activity.

To begin the day TLE and I watched the entirety of the Women's FIFA World Cup semi final match between Spain and Sweden (recorded over night) in which the winner would advance to the final on Sunday vs. either England or Australia who play their semi final match on Wednesday.  It was a great game to watch, and remained scoreless until late in the game when Spain scored, followed by a goal from Sweden a few minutes later, and then another goal by Spain with just a few minutes remaining.  Spain ultimately prevailed 2-1.  Now for the England vs. Australia game on Wednesday.  We hope it will be as good as this game.

Late in the day the Likely Volunteer Fire Department EMT's were called into the park for an emergency.  An older woman in an RV just below our site in site #10 died of what cause we are not yet sure.....I'm sure we'll find out eventually.  Mostly likely a heart attack. They worked for 10 minutes to bring her back, but she could not be revived.  Kind of a sobering ending to an other wise sultry, laid back day.  A reminder of how temporal life is....here one minute, and gone the next.

Thank you for stopping by!
