Day of rest.....

6:49 pm - Sunday - November 16th - Jurupa Valley, CA - 57° F, humidity 89%, wind 2 mph out of the west.....cloudy, dark, and the high of the day (60° F) has passed.  On this date in 2024 we awoke around 5:30 am to snow on the ground at TWW....

....our first snow of the winter.

Once again we slept in until almost 7 am Sunday.  It would truly be a day of rest for us as all of our social obligations had been satisfied.  I don't think I left the travel trailer until mid afternoon, and only for a few minutes.  I read, watched NFL football, and napped for most of the day.  My L.A. Rams won a squeaker over the Seahawks 21-19 with great defense in the 4th quarter.  I've been a Bronco fan since the Rams left L.A. way back when, and even though the Rams have been back in L.A. for some time now, I still follow the Broncos, and once again they managed to come from behind in the 4th quarter to win against the K.C. Chiefs 22-19 with a last second field goal.  That's their 5th come from behind win out of 9 victories this season, and their 8th win in a row.

Nick, Kate, Tim and the kids spent the day with my grand daughter, Cynthia, and her family watching football, also, and returned around 4 pm.  TLE was tasked with making her famous Jambalaya for dinner, which we all enjoyed around 5 pm in the house.  They were all tired from a very busy weekend, and ready for naps right after dinner....lol.  Tim flies back to Georgia Tuesday morning, so we'll be saying our 'until next times' Monday morning before we head south to Poway (near San Diego) for my cardiology appointment.

It's been a great trip, and wonderful to spend more time with our kids, and their kids, but we are ready to head back to the quiet confines of TWW where we will once again enjoy the quiet solitude to which we have become accustomed.  I'm writing this post about Sunday in the evening, as we will be on our way driving to Poway by 7 am Monday morning.

Thanks for stopping by!
