'Trip lag'.....

7:41 am - Thursday - November 20th - TWW - 37° F, humidity 72%, wind 2 mph out of the south by southeast.....foggy right now, but partly sunny skies today with a forecast high of 49° F.  On this date in 2020 TLE and I were in Waldport, OR eating our takeout lunch 'alfresco' at a city park right on the ocean.....

....as you will recall, this was during the first year of the Wuhan Flu hysteria, and if a restaurant was open you could only order 'takeout'...there was virtually no 'in restaurant' dining.  When this was the case that year we tried to find a place to eat our food outdoors, and this spot was perfect!  The view this morning.....

Sunrise was at 7:13 am today, and it is now 8:19 am and the solar tracker has still not tilted due to the ground fog

It rained all night Tuesday night, and most of the day Wednesday.  As one might expect, we spent most of Wednesday indoors.  Charles and Phyllis were set to arrive between 10 and 11 am Wednesday so we did open up the house to light the wood stove in advance of their arrival to remove the chill from the interior, and we did redeploy our patio awning, which we had stowed while we were gone, but that was the extent of our outdoor activity on such an inclement day.

I take that back....when Charles and Phyllis arrived we did venture outside again to welcome them, and help unload the truck.  They have a Ford F250, or 350 4 x 4 and they also had some difficulty entering the property.  At any rate, part of their cargo included two new rear tires for the Ford Explorer....thank you guys!  Once everything was unloaded we headed back to the warm, dry interior of the Newell for the balance of the day, only to reemerge around 4 pm for dinner in the house....

That's the first time I remember seeing Charles
smile for one of our 'usies'

....Phyllis provided cornbread, along with chicken and black bean Chili for our dining pleasure.  TLE and I hung around talking until after 5 pm, but we were still getting over our 'trip lag' from the past 6 days, so we bid our adieus, and headed back to our Newell for the evening.

Thanks for stopping by!
