Droning on.....

8:21 am - Saturday - September 19th - Seal Rock, OR - 55° F, 100% humidity, wind - CALM.....rainy, cloudy, drizzly this morning with a forecast high today of 62° F.  On this day in 2013 we were westbound on I-90 near Anaconda, MT.......↴

I haven't had the drone out since the first few days we were at Harrington Lagoon, and Friday afternoon, after the rain stopped, seemed like the perfect time to get her out again.  Most days begin here in Seal Rock with no discernable wind, and those are good days to send up our Holy Stone drone and send her up.....

.....nothing like a drone shot to give perspective to our location, how isolated we are, and the surrounds.....

.....tilt the camera up just a tad and you can see the Pacific Ocean.....

.....go a little higher and you can see more of Seal Rocks RV Cove in relation to our site, and the ocean....

....a great view of the rock formations directly across US-101 from Seal Rocks RV Cove.....

......and we have successfully landed the Holy Smoke drone once again....

A video of the local area

......I neglected to give you a picture of the bike ramp I made Thursday, so here it is.  It is 8' long with a piece of angle aluminum screwed onto the end of the plank to hold it in place on the trailer entrance step.....

......as we did Thursday, we spent a great deal of the day watching the 2nd round of the USGA U.S. Open golf championship being held at Winged Foot in N.Y. this year, which was made easier by the fact it rained almost continuously from 8 am to Noon....no point in going outside while it's raining, right?  As has been our custom our first two days here we took another walk on our beach....this time walking south.....

......one more thing I managed to accomplish Frida was to deploy some of our yard lights for the first time since Borrego Springs back in February.......

......I've got some more lights to deploy Saturday and we will be just about finished with our setup for the next 6 months.  Have I said how much we love it here?
