TVC Office - Day # 21 - And then there were 21...

Our 21st day working in the TVC office, and only 21 more days until we roll the Newell wheels once again......

TLE's day in the TVC office started 2 hours before mine at 7:30 am.  This was her final training day to learn how to "open" the office.  I will join her next Monday when we take over Bill and Debby's Monday through Wednesday shift, but for now my shift starts at 9:30 am.   We are kind of in that period just before Labor Day when things quiet down for a week, or so, and then go crazy again up until the day after Labor Day.  Tuesday was one of the easiest days we've spent in the TVC office since we started on July 3rd.

Tuesday was also the day our friends Brian and Maria (The Roaming Pint) arrived in their class C motorhome.  We first met them in Cedar Key, FL way back in March of 2012, and then again in Cedar Key that same December when many of us who had become friends in March returned to spend a few weeks together.  They will spend a week, or so here before heading out to the Nevada desert to attend "Burning Man".

Brian and Maria

And this is one of my favorite things about this nomadic lifestyle.....we have this family on the road of really amazing people who crisscross the country as we do, and periodically we meet up here and there as our wanderings intersect.  If you have been reading my blog for a while now you will probably remember we hooked up with Brian and Maria down in Marathon Key (Florida Keys) after we left Cedar Key in 2013.  We have not seen them since February of 2013, but it seems like yesterday.

Other than a 30 minute stretch just before Noon time the office was pretty laid back all day.  It seemed that most of our customers this day were inquiring about extending their stay a day, or two, or three.  This is the most asked question each day....right behind "is there something wrong with your WiFi?"  Uh, yeah, there is something wrong, and it's not working at all right now.  Seems to happen during, or right after we have an electrical storm, but it usually comes back....so far that hasn't happened.

TLE was off duty at 4 pm, and whilst I continued my labors for another 2 hours she took a walk over to Raley's to do some "small" shopping.....we're out of bread, and almost out of half and half.

Tuesday is now in the books, and we do not report for work again until next Monday......5 consecutive days off.....Mammoth Mountain here we come!  We have 21 days until we lift off again for our next adventure.

Thanks for stopping by!
