Meanwhile....east of Banning Pass.....

7:29 am - Wednesday - February 7th - GNHS - 52° F, humidity 78%, wind 9 mph out of the south by southwest.....cloudy today with a forecast high of 64° F.  On this date in 2022 I had just finished polishing the ALCOA wheels on the Newell.....

......the view this morning.....

Rain was in the forecast for GNHS and pretty much for all communities east of Banning Pass, and it began around 5 am Tuesday morning.  Originally we were expecting 2-3 days of rain, but ultimately we got around 7 hours of sporadic rainfall, while west of  Banning Pass they were entering their 3rd day of non-stop, torrential at times, rain, and flooding.  The early morning rain stopped for a few hours hours around 9 am, so TLE and I took a brisk 1 mile out and back walk averaging 3.4 mph.....that would end up being our only walk of the day......

....upon our return I did my toning workout, then headed down to the hot pools/tubs for another soak.  It actually looked like the storm was over in these pictures.....

All to myself....just like I like it

.....but it was not.  Around 1 pm the skies darkened again, and it rained for the next 3, or 4 hours.  By 5 pm the rain had stopped, and I managed to get a subdued sunset picture, or two.....

....I continued reading my post apocalyptic book, when we weren't walking, soaking, listening to rain on the roof, or napping, and I continue to enjoy it (the book, and rain on the roof).  The park is empty as I write (except for those of us who live here full time), and there is not a single advance booking for a RZR from today (Wednesday) through Sunday (Superbowl Sunday), and I'm not sure we will get one as this is the weekend BEFORE the Presidents Day long weekend when there will be a lot of people here, for which weekend there are already advance bookings.  Most likely people will stay home to watch the Superbowl like they did last year.  I think we had just one rental during Superbowl weekend last year, and that was of the walkup variety.

On the health front, my knee is back to 100%, and TLE and I continue to be in good health, and free of illness...short, or long term.  We are now just 7 weeks from beginning our northward trek back to Likely Place Golf and RV Resort.

Thanks for stopping by!
