Clearing weather......

5:54 am - Thursday - September 19th - LPG&RVR - 42° F, humidity 87%, wind ZERO mph out of the south......clear, blue skies today with a forecast high of 75° F.  On this date in 2013 TLE and I were west bound on I-90 near Anaconda, MT.....

To begin Wednesday I staged all 5 of the Club Car electrics....there were only two names on the tee time sheet, so I though 5 would suffice for a few hours.  By 10:30 am only two of the carts had been rented, so I stowed the three unused Club Car electrics, and brought out 5 Yamaha gassers.  We ended up renting those 5 Yamahas, but that was it for Wednesday.

I made a round of the course around 9 am, and ended up spending around 40 minutes trying to get the sand trap at hole 15 to look decent again.  It had rained just enough the prior two days to soften up the soil in the trap.....after doing some extensive weeding, and then raking it for the first time in a few weeks it looked pretty good....

....the surrounding scenery wasn't too bad either....

.....upon my return to the Clubhouse around 10 am I set out to finish mowing what I had not mowed the day before.....the three lawns in the residential area, the parking lot grass, the small pavilion grass, the grass at the restrooms, the two pull through sites I had not mowed the day before, and finally the back in sites down in the Meadows.  I finished just before 12 pm, just in time to give TLE her lunch break.  Unlike Tuesday, Wednesday was a little slower during the lunch hour, for which I was grateful.

I was off work just before 3:30 pm. At that time there were still 3 golf carts on the course.  They were just finishing the 12th hole around 2:45 pm when I passed them on my final marshaling round of the day.  I figured they'd be back at the Clubhouse by 4:30 pm at the latest, so I determined to return then, wash them, stow them, then take TLE home.  At 4:30 pm they were still not back, so TLE called them.  They were just teeing off at the 18th hole....wait, what?  By the time she reached them it was 4:45 pm, and the carts were not returned until after 5 pm.  They began their 18 hole round at 11:15 am, so we're talking 6 hours to play 18 holes with virtually no one on the course....lol!  At any rate, I got them washed quickly, and we were on our way home by 5:20 pm.

To add a little context, we give our customers 5 hours to play 18 holes here at LPG&RVR, and expect the carts to be returned within that 5 hours.  I'm not a very good golfer, but I can play 18 in just over 3 hours, and I usually play 2, or 3 balls on each hole....again, here at LPG&RVR.

Thanks for stopping by!
