The fourth day......

8:08 am - Friday - June 6th - LPG&RVR - 62° F, humidity 26%, wind 3 mph out of the north by northwest....crystal clear, blue, sunny skies today with a forecast high of 85° F.  On this date in 2018 TLE and I were having dinner with Maine friends Tony, Janet, Steven and Lois.....

....at the 'Seafood Ketch' in Bass Harbor, ME.

Everyone of our four day work days each cycle goes fast for me, but the fourth day always seems to go the fastest....I don't know why.  To begin the day I staged all five Club Car electrics, and 5 Yamahas.  Based on the tee time sheet we would need 21 over the course of the morning, but I only staged 10 at at a time to keep the staging area less crowded. Anyway, that is 21 carts to begin a Thursday, and it only got busier.  By the end of the day we had rented 26 golf carts to continue the streak of 20+ carts per day during the week.  It is amazing, though, that even with all those people on the course (not counting members with their own carts) everyone was still pretty spread out over 18 holes.

Since Claude is back on duty Thursdays I didn't have to make a round of the course, and was able to stay around the Clubhouse and add 5 carts at at time to the lineup as the first five left.  By 9 am I had staged all 21.  I hadn't done any string trimming the first three days, so I retrieved a Stihl string trimmer and headed out to trim around the small gazebo, all five employee sites, and around 10 pull through sites.  I had planned to do more, but it was Thursday and I would have to clear the driving range of balls beginning at 11 am, so I returned the Stihl string trimmer, and hopped on the 2 bag Husqvarna to get as much mowing done as I could.  By 11 am I had cut the small gazebo grass, all 5 employee sites, and 6 pull through sites.

There weren't many golf balls on the driving range.....maybe half a 5 gallon bucket worth, but you still have to walk the entire driving range to find them all.  Anyway, I was done just before 12 pm, so headed into give TLE her lunch break.  The phone did not ring one time during that hour, and not one person came up to the counter to buy anything.....lucky me....lol.  As soon as TLE returned the chaos started again, and was able to escape back to washing golf carts, and doing some watering.  I ran the sprinklers at the small gazebo through their 8 minute cycle three times as there were some dry spots beginning to appear.

The 21 initial carts we rented were all returned by 2:30 pm, and I was able to get them all washed and stowed by 3:15 pm.  The final 5 came back after I headed home to take a shower, and a nap before picking TLE up at 5 pm.

I set up the outdoor TV on the 'lido deck' in preparation for spending a nice evening on the deck watching the sun set.  We even lit the propane fire pit for good measure.....

.....we spent around 2.5 hours on the 'lido deck' listening to 'Classic Vinyl' on Sirius/XM Radio streaming on the TV.  A very nice way to unwind at the end of our 4 day work week, and the beginning of our 4 day weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!
