8:18 am - Tuesday - September 19th - 43º F, humidity 95%, wind 3 mph out of the north by northwest......heavy cloud cover.....rained ALL night long.....suweet! We are off today and Wednesday......double suweet!
Monday we had the 'MID2' shift (10:30 am to 6:30 pm).......we were hoping for a moderately busy day, but got something more in line with Saturday......very, very unbusy. So, what do you do during an unbusy day? Check out the local wild life, of course.......
.......this bull elk took up residence about 100 yards from the employee parking lot in the rear of the store, and remained there all day long......we spent time photographing him throughout the unbusy day.
We were expecting rain again by Tuesday morning, however, the front moved in earlier than expected and it began to sprinkle around 5:30, and that continued until a little after 7 pm when it began to rain steadily....never very hard.
We were on our way home by 6:30 pm slipping down the Gardiner River Gorge one more time. It was difficult to watch satellite TV due to the heavy cloud cover and wind that was causing the trees on either side of our site to block what satellite signal we were getting, so we watched a recorded episode of 'Last Ship'. We tuned into 'So You Think You Can Dance' after that, but the signal was pretty poor. We were headed off to slumberland by 11 pm looking forward to 'sleeping in'.
Thanks for stopping by!
