6:34 am - Sunday - November 5th - SoCal - humidity 94%, wind 5 mph out of the south by southwest......heavy cloud cover.....another road trip!  Daily Savings Time just ended here in SoCal......back in Arizona it is really 7:34 am and that is where we will be tonight.  I'm not changing my watch!

I called Romona Tire around 9 am to be sure my tires would be there by 9:30 am was assured they would be so around 10 am TLE and I headed down to get them installed on the Beetle.  We arrived around 10:20 am and were informed that, indeed, my tires had arrived and they would proceed with the installation within 30 minutes.  TLE went across the street to get her pedicure and I walked over to Home Depot (same parking lot) to pick up a few more things I had forgotten the day before.  The tire guy, Danny, said the VW would be ready in 90 to 120 minutes (actually it ended up being just 75 minutes!).

By the time I had killed an hour at Home Depot and Autozone I walked back to Romona Tire to see that they were just about done installing the new front tires on the VW, and just about that time I got a text from TLE that she was also done and walking back to the tire store.  Talk about things coming together perfectly!

From there we drove over to Ralph's (supermarket) to pick up a wedding card for Mike and Amanda's wedding, which was the entire point of our trip to SoCal.  Whilst TLE bought a new hairbrush I had found the perfect card, and we were on our way back to the car.  As we were getting in the car TLE mentioned she had gotten a coupon to use at a Chinese restaurant in the same complex and it was closing in on 1 pm after all, so we stopped off to have a quick lunch.

We were home by 1:45......the wedding was at 4 pm in Riverside so I took a nap, and then around 2:15 began to get ready for the wedding.  TLE checked the driving time to the wedding venue and said it should take around 45 minutes so we were in the car and on the road by 2:45......we arrived at the wedding venue 40 minutes later.  The weather was perfect, and so was the wedding......by 4:20 pm Mike and Amanda were 'man and wife'.......

My daughter's (Sharon) son Brayden was the ring bearer and he did a wonderful job.....his Mommy escorted him down the aisle
