7:05 am - Monday - December 2nd - TWW - 36° F, humidity 38%, wind 8 mph out of the east by southeast.....mostly clear skies today with a forecast high of 64° F. On this date in 2021 TLE and I were enjoying an Anza Borrego Desert sunset at our favorite boondock site.....
Now that we have the new cedar shed housing our Bluetti battery bank it was time to take down the Ozark Trail dining canopy, and move the chicken wire cage in which the Bluetti was kept for the first 6 weeks of our sojourn here at TWW. There were a lot of decorative rocks strewn around the area upon which we continually tripped, or stubbed our toes, so we policed the area, and moved them to another location where they will not present a trip and fall hazard anymore......
....Charles and Phyllis arrived at TWW around noon time, just as TLE and I were finishing with our morning project. They wanted to make a trip to the water station located at Grand Canyon Caverns to take on another 1,800 gallons to finish filling the upper water tank, so they could begin to have water pressure in the house. TLE and I went with Charles while Phyllis kept the home fires burning in our absence. I think we were gone for about an hour, with most of that time being consumed by the 14 mile round trip drive to the Caverns....filling the water totes does not take that long, surprisingly. Upon our return Charles and I got out the Predator gasoline powered water pump to transfer the newly acquired water into the upper 2,500 gallon tank....
....that Predator water pump moves water very quickly. I think it took about 2 minutes per tote to transfer the water into the tank. We spent more time moving the 3" hose from tank to tank, than actually pumping the water....lol! Once we were done we turned on the electric water pump to pressurize the house for the first time in a long time. As the pump pressure increased we went inside to bleed the air out of the lines, and soon we had 50 PSI of water pressure.....at 50 PSI the pump automatically shuts down....it is a 'demand' pump like the water pump we use to pressurize the Newell, only on a much larger scale. By the time we finished dinner was ready, so we went inside to join the ladies, and for the first time since we have been here I was able to use their restroom.....very nice!
Now that we have water pressure in the house to fill the water heater they can set an appointment with Yavapi Bottle Gas to have their system inspected, and have propane flowing into the house once again....the dominos are beginning to fall!
Thanks for stopping by!
