Water catchment, part 2....

7:51 am - Tuesday - February 10th - TWW - 37° F, humidity 30%, cloud cover 67%, wind 4 mph out of the southeast....cloudy, and windy today with a forecast high of 61° F.  The view this morning....

....and on this date in 2013 TLE and I were having lunch at 'Cheeseburger In Paradise'....

Left to right:  TLE, Gail (TLE's cousin), Jimmy and moi

....on Cabbage Key, just off the coast of Ft. Meyer, FL.  I'm eating the Jimmy Buffet Cheeseburger....OMG!

We're finally back into the swing of things....we took another out and back walk Monday morning after taking a day of rest on Sunday.....

....once again we averaged just slightly over 3 mph finishing the 1 mile out and back walk in 19 minutes and 43 seconds.

We've been waiting for an opportune day to begin 'water catchment, part 2' with the installation of rain gutters on the southside of the house....an opportune day having two key elements.....1) warmth, and 2) no wind.  Monday fit those requirements to a 'T'.  Around 11 am TLE and I headed out to start the work.....

The southeast side of the house
You can see the third IBC water tote at the back of the house (northeast corner)

The southwest side of the house

.....we managed to get the front of the house done, and will tackle the back of the house in the very near future connecting rain gutters to the 3rd IBC water tote at the northeast corner of the house (see the second picture above).  We finished around 1:30 pm, and after climbing up and down those tall ladders a few dozen times were ready for a time out....lol.  We've got rain, and snow in the near forecast, so we'll see house much rain water we catch.

For another day, the 8th in a row, we did not employ the Predator 5000, but her time is coming in less than a week now, in fact, we ran her for about 15 minutes Monday night, just to give her some 'run' time.  We planned on another sunset fire, but when we headed out to the 'sunset deck' the wind was blowing over 10 mph directly out of the southwest, which is not conducive to enjoying a fire, or the sunset, so we retreated back to the warm confines of the Newell for the evening.

Thanks for stopping by!
