7:16 am - Wednesday - February 11th - TWW - 44° F, humidity 49%, cloud cover 90%, wind 8 mph out of the southeast.....heavy cloud cover today with a chance of rain and a forecast high of 54° F. The view this morning.....
....and on this date in 2021 TLE and I were in the Newell heading to Arizona for a one month hiatus from Seal Rocks RV Cove, where we lived and worked for a year.....
.....on our first day we had to get over Willamette Pass ahead of a winter storm to avoid the snow, however, we did get rained upon.
Originally, based on the weather forecast, we did not believe we would be able to finish installing the rain gutters on the rear side of the house due to heavy winds, but when we awoke it was not windy, so we first took our 1 mile out and back walk, in which we averaged just over 3 mph again.....
.....burning another 166 caloric units in 19 minutes and 47 seconds.
After a quick change of clothing TLE and I were out there installing the final stretch of rain gutters on the rear side of the house. While we were installing the two sections of rain gutters on the front we developed a system to speed things up, and make the installation easier. Employing those technics we installed everything in about 90 minutes compared to the 2.5 hours it took the day prior....
....we finished putting the ladders and tools away by 12 pm, and just as we were walking back to the Newell the winds came....talk about good timing!
We spent the balance of the day indoors with occasional forays outdoors to the greenhouse to water plants, and check out the growth process of our plants....
