TVC - Day 92 - Sweet!

As you might have noticed I uncharacteristically got behind in my blogging...I woke up this morning (Monday) realizing I had not written about Saturday yet!  Well, that one is put to bed, so here goes Sunday!

I woke up Sunday realizing I should have dumped the black tank the day before, so instead of sitting down with a good cup of coffee at my computer I headed outside with a good cup of coffee to dump the tank....the morning temperature was hovering around 39 degrees......much colder than we've had for over a month.  As I was finishing up with that ever so delightful task my neighbor came over to ask if our electricity was out, also......."also?".  Just about that time TLE stuck her head out the door and informed me it was.  Well, we've been through that dance before.....fortunately my neighbor is also a worker here, and he had his TVC keys with him, so we walked over to the main service panel box to reset the breakers for sites 426-431.....I guess there were too many electric heaters being utilized to ward off the unseasonably cold temperatures.  Of course, by the time all that excitement was dispensed with it was time to eat breakfast and get dressed for work.....and now you know why I didn't get Saturday's blog up on Sunday. I had the best intentions to take care of it after work, but other things interfered.

By the time I arrived at the office TLE had printed out the departure list......196 departures on Sunday....WOW!  That's like half the sites leaving in one day......there was a 3 hour period where we actually had a small traffic jam inside the park.....it seems almost everyone decided to leave at the same time.  After doing my initial round of sites checks I spent the next few hours directing traffic.

We were off work a little after 1600 hours.....around 1700 hours we rode or bikes over to Sonney's BBQ and Grill.......I ordered their 1 pound of bacon BLT.......

....if you have ever wanted to just eat a pound of bacon all by yourself (and don't try to claim you haven't) this is a great delivery system for it!  TLE had the BBQ chicken with cheezy grits and collard greens.....we chased our culinary choices with Icky IPA.  Of course, we dinned al fresco enjoying the wonderful SLT weather and ambiance.

We were back home by 7 with full stomachs and smiles on our faces.......a great way to end another work day at TVC.....suweeeet!

Thanks for stopping by!
