After not even getting a cold for about 3 years, I am sick, again, one month after I was sick at Ann and Elliott's....same stuff....scratchy throat, cough, congestion with a low grade fever thrown in for good measure this time. Monday I felt like I had been hit by a Mack truck. I pretty much sat around all day napping, feeling achy and miserable. I was getting a hint that the "crud" was returning Sunday morning when the post nasal drip thing started, but was hoping for the best, even as I embarked on that grueling 15 mile mountain bike ride.
I am feeling better this morning (Tuesday), but I definitely will not be taking any more long bike rides today.
There isn't really much to write about unless you are interested in my numerous naps, and a really long, HOT shower that did make me feel temporarily better. When I was awake I watched Pawn Stars on the History channel, which was on all day long...a new show every 30 minutes.
Around 6 pm I started watching some of the pregame shows revolving around the NCAA National Championship game that night between Louisville and Michigan. The actual game did not start until 9:30 eastern time, and was not over until just around midnight....a good thing I took all those naps! The game was one of the better final games I have seen in the past few years, and came right down to the last 2 minutes before Louisville pulled away and won by 6.
At some point, I think around 2 pm, I went over to the office and paid for two more days....we were supposed to leave Monday for D.C., but there was no way I was driving Monday, or Tuesday feeling the way I felt. If all goes well we will pull anchor Wednesday morning and begin inching our way to the D.C. Beltway....hopefully getting there around Monday.
The weather has warmed considerably.....I'm pretty sure we hit 80 degrees at some point yesterday, and the forecast, while cloudy, is for temps in the 80's again Tuesday. Ahhhh....Spring is here!
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Thanksgiving!
