How dry I am.....

We enjoyed our two nights at Sedona Pines......really, we did.....but after spending 3 days at the dry camping spot off Thousand Trails Road with no one parked 10 feet from us on either side, we were glad to be heading back there Wednesday.

What is not to like about this view?

When we move we usually don't plan to do anything except get ready to move......actually move......then get set up in our new site.  Depending on how far we are moving that day we may have time to do something after we get settled at our destination, but we usually just spend any time left in the day relaxing.  On this moving day we only had 22 miles to travel back to the "14 DAYS FOR FREE" Thousand Trails Road dispersed camping area between I-17 and Cottonwood just off SR-260.  While we will not use up our 14 day limit this time around, we plan to come back here and spend more time next year.  We are only 8 miles east of Cottonwood......we get a strong 4G LTE signal here....at least 3-4 bars with no boosters, or antennas required.  It is far enough off the highway that you really don't hear the traffic going by just out of sight over the hill, and the views are spectacular!

We were ready to travel by 11 am, and pulled out of our site and down to the parking lot to pick up our trailer.  TLE thought it was going to be complicated, but it ended up being pretty easy, and we were back on 89A heading toward Cottonwood by 11:20, and back at our boondock spot just about Noon time.  We have a full fresh water tank, empty gray and black tanks so we are good for another 8-10 days with one exception......we need to take on propane in the next week, or so.  Hopefully we can take care of that in Flagstaff Thursday, or Friday.

TLE & I spent the afternoon reading.......the winds had come back again, so we pretty much had all the windows closed.....it was a small adventure tilting the solar panels again.

When we did our big grocery shopping a week ago in Surprise TLE picked out two filet mignons at Safeway for a future dinner.  We love Safeway's meat department.....they use "Rancher's Reserve" (from the Harris Ranch in California's Central Valley) and it is always lean, flavorful, and tender.  We decided to BBQ them Tuesday night, and while I was engaged with that endeavor TLE prepared a couple of sides.......squash with caramelized onions, and a carrot salad with raisins and radishes dressed with a lime vinigarette dressing....who would have thought that combination would be soooo tasty!

A great dinner chased with a glass of Lagunitas
Cappuccino Stout beer....WOW!

To add our dining pleasure we were treated to a beautiful sunset......

We spent the evening watching our usual Tuesday night dramas......"NCIS", "NCIS L.A.", "Justified", and "Person of Interest".

Thanks for stopping by!
