A little foggy this morning
We were off work until Monday so we slept in until after 8:30 am Sunday. I ordered the new fuel pump off Amazon Saturday night so we should have it by Tuesday, but in the interim we have no transportation. We walked down to the office around 11:30 am to pick up several packages which had been delivered while we were gone, and one of them had the new screens to cover our three Suburban gas heater vents on the exterior of the Newell......↴
....it took me a few minutes to figure out how to install the first two, but once I figured it out the remaining four screens were installed in no time. These screens will keep wasps, hornets, etc. from building nests in there, and the woodpeckers from storing acorns in them. I have never had an issue with any of this before so I had resisted installing them. After seeing all the acorns stuffed in one of the heater vents for one of the cabins I decided not to put it off any longer....one less thing to worry about.
We also received a pair of DeWalt goggles for me to wear while doing string trimming, or operating either of the Stihl blowers to keep dust out of my surgically repaired right eye for the next month, as well as a pair of DeWalt safety glasses which have 2.0 readers in the lenses. Then there was the 3M WorkTunes ear protection with Blue Tooth so I can listen to music while operating the trimmer, or blower.....
All charged and ready to go!
.....they do provide very adequate ear protection here at RORVR, but they do not have a built in radio like the ones I used at Smuggler's Den last summer, so I opted to get ones with a Blue Tooth connection so I can listen to Pandora while working.
When we were down at the office we retrieved our EzGo golf cart, which we had left there while we were gone for 3 days. We also picked up our first ADP paycheck stubs, and found our paychecks had been direct deposited on Friday....perfect! I like a smooth transition!
After three days of doctor appointments, and a lot of family time we were ready to just kind of 'coot out' the rest of Sunday, and that is what we did. I know there was at least one nice long nap for me, and a little puttering around in my trailer up in the storage yard. We watched one of the final English Premier Soccer matches of the season between Liverpool and Wolverhampton. Liverpool won 2-0, but fell one point short of overtaking Manchester City for the league title as they also won their match over Brighton & Hove Albion handily, 4-1. It was a good season with the top two teams garnering over 90 points for the first time ever.
We watched some recorded TV programs, and called it a day around 10 pm....thanks for stopping by!
