'ONE' is the loneliest number.....

6:32 am - Saturday - April 8th - GNHS - 58° F, humidity 50%, wind 4 mph out of the south by southeast.....partly cloudy today with a forecast high of 84° F.  On this date in 2014 TLE and I were touring Antelope Canyon year Page, AZ....beautiful slot canyon.....↴

We and COA began Friday with just ONE operational UTV....our #1 RZR.  Both KRXs had tire issues, #4 RZR needed to have a belt changed, and #2 RZR would not start.  We solved the KRX problem by moving all the best tires on both of the KRXs to #9 KRX, then I installed the new drive belt on #4 RZR, and finally, Kyle came by to troubleshoot the starting issue with #2 RZR.  It turned out to be a lazy, or stuck brake switch.  In order to start the RZRs you must depress the brake pedal, which activates the brake pedal switch allowing a power to reach the starter.  Kyle fixed it by stomping hard on the brake pedal a couple of times to break the switch loose, and it worked, so now we have 3 RZRs, and 1 KRX available for rental on this, our final weekend.  Right now we have one booked rental on Saturday with the possibility of walkups, and 2 booked rentals on Sunday, also with the possibility of walkups, so we shall see what we shall see.

3 Dog Night - "One is the loneliest number"

All that effort took us to around noon time, and at that time we retired to the interior of the Newell to watch round #2 of The Masters tournament.  I did not spend any time organizing the trailer for VW insertion as it is ready, and I did not spend any time on anything related to rolling our wheels on Monday morning.  All the remaining final maneuvers will occur on Saturday and Sunday.  The temp into the mid 80's and around 3 pm we finally succumbed to the temptation to turn on the rear A/C unit.  Only the second time since October it has been necessary to do so.  Saturday the temp will hit the mid 80's again, and on Sunday the forecast high is 89° F, so the A/C will, no doubt, be running....time to head north!

Any with that we have become 'short timers' with just 2 full days remaining in our GNHS sojourn.  It has been a great Winter, and we look forward to returning next Fall for another Winter of UTV rentals.

Thanks for stopping by!
