Lighting it up....

7:30 am - Wednesday - January 24th - GNHS - 53° F, humidity 100%, wind 3 mph out of the southeast......foggy this morning, with clearing later in the morning, and a forecast high of 64° F.  On this date in 2013 TLE and I were enjoying our 28th sunset vigil in Cedar Key, FL....those sunsets would last 45 minutes to an hour.....↴

By the time we got out of bed Tuesday the small pond which had formed during the rain on Monday had vanished, but everything was still quite wet, needless to say.  I draped the putting green over one of the 'broken' RZRs to drain all the water out of it, used the Toro blower to blow water out of the artificial turf, and laid our Adirondack cushions in the sun to dry......

Pond is gone

....TLE and I got back to our walking routine, and pounded out two separate 1 mile, out and back walks averaging 3.4 and 3.2 mph respectively....

The view as we walk along the entrance road back into the park

Post walk pix.....morning walk, above, afternoon walk below

.....after the successful installation of the first two reading lights the other day I ordered 6 more (they come in packs of two, so I'll have a spare) from Amazon to replace the remaining 5 reading lights.  After our first walk I installed three of them, and will get to the other two Wednesday....

The new reading lights over at the head of our bed

.....we took our second walk around 3:30 pm, and by the time we returned the Chocolates were lighting up, and the almost full moon was making an appearance....

The almost full moon rising over the Chocolates

.....not long thereafter the sun was setting over the San Jacintos once again.....

.....TLE and I sat on the 'viewing deck' until almost 5:30 pm before heading inside for the night....love the closeups of the moon I can take with my Samsung Ultra 21 phone camera.....

....after enjoying TLE's famous Jambalaya for dinner we finished watching 'Lewis' on BritBox....there are 9 seasons in all, and it was well worth every minute.  After finishing 'Lewis' we decided to begin watching a new series on BritBox entitled 'Archie', which is about the life and times of Cary Grant, the iconic actor.  His given name at birth was Archie Leach, hence the name of the series.  I'm hard pressed to think of a single Cary Grant movie I have not liked.  So far, after two episodes of Season 1, we are liking it.  We'll report back after we finish Season 1, which is the only season available at this time.

Thanks for stopping by!
