Tuesday was another perfect Southwest Harbor day, but after the 7 mile hike on Monday we decided to just head to the beach with our beach chairs, some beer, and sandwiches to spend a few hours relaxing and enjoying the ocean breezes. I don't think we've used those beach chairs in over 2 years, but I'm glad we still have them. Back on June 19th when we hiked the short Wonder Land Trail we both agreed we would love to come back with our beach chairs and spend time on the sandy beach. We left home about 11 am arriving at the Wonder Land parking lot about 10 minutes later. It is a 1/2 mile walk to the beach from the parking lot, and we covered that distance in just over 10 minutes. We like Wonder Land it is one of the few local beaches which has some sand........

....we spent over two and a half hours reading, napping, and drinking a little beer before we packed it in and headed home were we arrived about 2:30 pm. It was so nice that I just sat outside the rest of the afternoon reading.
Around 6 pm TLE heated up some Jambalaya for our dinner, which we ate alfresco. Sometime after 6:30 pm I put some wood in the fire pit and lit a fire, and that is how we ended our evening. A very relaxing day!
