To the east
To the west, from which the wind is blowing.....clouds
We had some hiking plans for Saturday, but it was such a nice day to sit outside....probably the nicest day in a long time......
.....that we scrapped our very minor plans, and just hung out reading, and napping the entire day....
......except for a brief 30 minute experiment putting our two eBikes on our Küat bike rack and then installing the new Obisidian bike cover we bought for our Alaska trip. After much discussion, and thought we will not be taking our trailer to Alaska. We will transfer the Küat bike rack to the receiver hitch on the Newell and transport our bikes that way. It is not my optimal choice, but based on the feedback we have received from others we think the trailer will take a beating on the AlCan Highway. The bike cover is warranted to be waterproof, and it does completely cover the bikes.......
....from the rear it completely obscures the Beetle.....lol. At any rate, we are happy with the bike cover, and its fit....now back to reading and napping.....
....it's amazing how fast time can pass when you are doing essentially nothing. I woke up from a nap to find it was after 4 pm, and time to get ready for our 4th sunset fire.......
.....there goes the sun, and here comes the fire.......
....we caught the now full moon just coming over the mountains to our east......
.......it was amazing how fast the moon moved from behind the mountains to being higher in the sky....just seconds.....
Sometimes being lazy is just all that is needed to live well in the Anza Borrego....thanks for stopping by!

Good choice of keeping the trailer and car home, as long as you plan wisely you should be able to see just about everything via the bikes or alongside the road parking the motorhome. However, if you plan to go to Hyder, riding your bikes to Salmon Glacier Summit Viewpoint would be problematic (for Elaine since it is 18 miles each way and high elevation change), but you could use Uber or Lyft.
ReplyDeleteWe will be traveling with relatives who will have a car, so we'll be riding with them when needed.
