The stars finally aligned.....

6:52 am - Thursday - April 10th - TWW - 50° F, humidity 31%, wind 6 mph out of the southeast.....crystal clear, blue, sunny skies today with a forecast high of 85° F.  On this date in 2015 TLE and I were visiting the 'Four Corners' monument....

....and had some Indian Fry Bread (Navaho Taco in this case) for the first time.

Well, you knew we had to get around to it eventually, right?  On Wednesday we finally got a warm, windless day to apply the second coat of paint via an airless spray gun.  Before I could begin spraying paint we had to strain the paint through an old t-shirt provided by TLE....

....and we had to re-mask the two greenhouse windows as all the wind we've had lately pealed a lot of of what we had done a few weeks ago right off the windows, and that took about an hour....

.....it took a very long time to strain 2.5 gallons of paint, but finally we were ready to paint around noon time....

'Priming' the airless system with water before we can spray paint

I wore an old set of overalls I've had for years.  The last time I wore them was when I was installing the airbags on the Newell a few years ago.

....once I started spraying paint it took just 35 minutes to paint the entire structure, and the 2.5 gallons we had was just enough to get the job done.  Now, at last, we are ready to begin installing the new polycarbonate, translucent roof panels.....

Ready for the roof!

.....it probably took me close to 90 minutes to run water through the airless compressor in order to flush the paint out of the hose, and nozzles, and by the time I was finished it was time for dinner.

We haven't had a sunset fire for quite a while, so we headed out to the 'sunset fire deck' around 6:20 pm to see in the end of another TWW day.  Sunset is a little after 7 pm now....

.....I was beginning to think we would never get that second coat of paint on the greenhouse, but the stars finally aligned, and we finally got it done.  It was a very good day at TWW....thanks for stopping by!
