Fini.......

8:23 am - Friday - September 4th - Coupeville, WA - 53° F, 86% humidity, wind - CALM - clear, blue skies today with a forecast high of 69° F.  On this day in 2010 we were riding our bikes just north of Ventura, CA along PCH.......↴

Fini is French for 'finished', and am I ever finished!  Phase 3 contemplated the complete pressure washing of the 3 car parking area, the rear patio, patio stairs and landing, the front porch sidewalks, lower parking area, and the entire length of the concrete driveway all the way down to Harrington Lagoon Road.  All that remained to complete of Phase 3 was the last 120 yards from the side of the house to Harrington Lagoon Road.  I figured I could complete that section in about 3 hours, but there is always the 'Hockwald Way', which means it will actually take 6 hours.  I fired up the pressure washer around 9:30 am, and finally finished the last few feet of the driveway at the edge of Harrington Lagoon Road by 3:30 pm.....by the time I put everything away it was almost 4 pm.  Why put in so many hours in one day?  Well, I really wanted to be finished with everything Thursday so I will have all of Friday and Saturday to put things away, and to organize the trailer......at a leisurely pace, of course.......

.....and, thus, my labor here on the shores of Harrington Lagoon came to an end.  After 6 hours on my feet wrangling the 200 foot hose attached between the pressure washer water tank and nozzle, and walking up and down the driveway a couple dozen times to retrieve additional diesel for the water heater and/or moving the water supply hose I was wasted.....nothing a couple of Bolthouse Mocha Cappucino's, a long, hot shower, and a nap couldn't cure.

I spent what was left of Thursday relaxing, and napping, but roused myself briefly to take a picture of our sunset......
