Soooonday....

I was just thinking Sunday that it was two years ago that I began to blog every single day we were in Campbellsville, KY working for Amazon.  Prior to that time I only blogged if we had done something I thought was interesting, but when we arrived in Campbellsville I decided I wanted to document every day of that experience, not only for my own benefit, but so that others might benefit from my description of our experience.  Eventually that decision morphed into me blogging every single day for the past two plus years.  Naturally, when you blog every single day there are going to be days when you struggle to write something you think is interesting.  To me that is the challenge of the daily blogger.....writing something worth reading every single day regardless of how interesting they might think the day was.  Basically, what my blog has become is a daily description of how TLE and I live our lives in a home with wheels on it, so here goes another entry about that life.

Sunday was one of the warmest days we have enjoyed in the past two months.  The skies were crystal clear and cloudless.  Even though I had ridden 16 miles on Saturday it was hard to pass up another ideal riding day, so I talked TLE into taking a "shortish" ride with me....she hasn't ridden her bike since late August, so I knew we would probably not go too far.

We rode our bikes east on Lincoln Way over to Sparks Blvd. and then south across the I-80 entrance and exit ramps using the bike path provided.  It is exactly 1.7 miles from our coach to the entrance of the Truckee River Trail.  We rode our bikes west along the river at a leisurely pace just enjoying the dry, balmy air and the attendant scenery.

A decomposing barn just across the river.....I love old barns!

TLE in the distance...she kept going when I stopped to snap some pix

At TLE's direction we made our turn around at just over 5 miles out making our ride total a little over 10 miles by the time we returned to the park.  We made a quick stop at Target so TLE could pick up a few staples we were running low on, and then were home by 1 pm....in time to see the end of the San Francisco 49'ers vs. New Orleans Saints game as it went into overtime.  The 49'ers ultimately won the game via  field goal.  The afternoon game I was interested in was the Denver Broncos vs. Oakland Raiders.  Peyton started out slow, but then threw two quick touchdown passes in the last two minutes of the first half.  The second half saw a continuation of the same, and the Broncos ended up winning 42 to 17.

I looked outside at just around sundown to see what I call a 360 degree sunset.....pretty much the entire horizon lit up no matter what direction you were looking......and just for kicks I took a picture our our coach showing our current outdoor lighting scheme.

So, there you have it......another day of us living our lives in a home with wheels.....another day, I think, lived well.

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. - If there is some topic I have not written about in our blog in which you would be interested leave a comment with your suggestion and I will see what I can do.  Obviously, I do not write about everything we do......sometimes TLE thinks I reveal too much about our daily life, so I need to respect her boundaries.
