Mañana........

8:37 am - Wednesday - January 27th - Seal Rock, OR - 34° F, 100% humidity, wind - zero mph out of the north.  Heavy cloud cover again with rain forecast later this morning, and a high of 44° F for the day.  On this date in 2019 we were in Winslow, AZ staying at the Elks Lodge.  On this day we walked over to the La Posada Hotel for breakfast in the Turquoise Room....↴

....as you can see in the second picture, I had not yet had my surgery to remove the cyst in my right cheek.....that would happen a few weeks later.

Around 9 am it appeared to me that we would not be working Tuesday as I was seeing very dark clouds over the ocean, and it was apparent it was raining out there, but the rain held off, so I was at work at 10 am with Terry and Blake helping cut up the downed tree I mentioned in yesterday's post.  We had no sooner filled the trailer with another load of tree branches than it began to sprinkle.  By the time we returned for a second load it was actually raining.  We scooped up the remaining cuttings and quickly hauled them up to the burn pile.  After putting away the chain saws and the trailer it was 11:15 am, and I was on my way home to remove my wet clothing and get dry, and warm once again....another grueling work day at SRRVC*....lol!

The gravel company which was to deliver 14 yards of gravel to site #A-2 called to say they would be postponing the delivery until 1 pm on Wednesday, so that is when I will be going to work tomorrow.  I have noticed over the past four months that the Oregon Coast has kind of a 'mañana' vibe, so the one day delay was not too surprising. I'll probably spend my entire two hour shift Wednesday spreading gravel and getting that site level, barring more rain.

TLE was home by 1 pm, and we settled into an afternoon of reading to the accompaniment of rain on the roof.  It appears we will have rain on and off for the next two weeks.  That is getting close to our departure date of February 12th.  We are hoping our departure day will be dry....fingers crossed, and knocking on a lot of wood.

Thanks for stopping by!
