At work before the sun.....

5:18 am - Saturday - August 26th - LPG&RVR - 55° F, humidity 70%, wind 2 mph out of the southeast.......forecast is for clear, blue skies today (still dark), and a high of 87° F.  On this date in 2019 TLE and I were having breakfast with Tim, Laila and Crosby at Simple Simon's in Riverside, CA.....has it already been 4 years?  Wow......↴

I began my workday at 6:30 am, just before the sun crested over the Warner Mountains......

....it won't be long before it will still be dark at 6:30 am, but by that time I won't need to go to work at 6:30 am because the days will be much cooler......the 70's are just around the corner.  We have just two more days in the 90's (Sunday and Monday), and then all we will be seeing are low 80's, and then its into the 70's.  The leaves on the trees are beginning to change colors, which means Fall is not far away.

There were no carts to wash, thank you Walt, so I got busy staging 14 carts for the day, and that was almost enough....we ended up renting 15.  After staging the carts I took a swing around the course weeding and raking two of the sand traps, and also spent a few minutes looking for lost golf balls at the 16th hole.  I managed to find the ball Charles lost on that hole on Thursday....lol!  In all I found 10 balls in just a few minutes!

After making the rounds I hopped on the slow John Deere riding lawnmower, and headed down to the tent sites to mow them again.  It's only been a week, but the grass is growing more quickly down there and we want to keep it looking goof for the occasional tent customers.  I was heading back up the hill around 10 am when I spied Charles and Phyllis leaving the park.  They are headed for Denver, CO on this next leg of their summer travels.  We really enjoyed our 10 days with them, and will miss them. We'll see them again when we are down south at Glamis North Hot Springs this winter.....ahhhh, the life of nomads!

After putting away the slow John Deere I headed out to do a little marshaling on the course.  Everyone was spread out, and there were no issues, so I just took my time enjoying the scenery, and light breezes.  I think the temperature only got up to 86° F Friday, but it felt a little warmer than that.  Soon it was time to give TLE her lunch break, and by 1 pm I only had 1.5 hours left in my work day.  Only 4 of the 15 golf carts returned before 2:30 pm, so I'll have 11 to wash first thing Saturday.

I was home, showered, and resting in my recliner by 2:45 pm.  I awoke from a nap around 4:30 pm......I guess I was more tired than I thought.....lol.  I headed back to the Clubhouse to retrieve The Lovely Elaine, and by 5:15 pm we were both relaxing.  Three days until we begin our annual pilgrimage to Lake Tahoe to celebrate our 52 wedding anniversary.  We'll be there 4 days, and 3 nights, and we are both really looking forward to the trip!

Thanks for stopping by!
