Two down.....

4:18 pm - Sunday - August 20th - LPG&RVR - 73° F, 41% humidity, wind 6 mph out of the east......heavy cloud cover all day long with a high of 73° F.  Rain on the way tonight.  On this date in 2013 TLE and I were spending a month on the banks of the Spokane River at River Walk RV Park in Coeur d'Alene, ID.....↴

I am once again two posts behind (Friday and Saturday), so I will once again combine the two days into one post.

I was back to work on Friday for a short 3 day work week since I had worked 5 days in the last work 'week'.  The first day back, for me, is always the toughest, plus it was to be the last 90+° day.  I went to work at 7:40 am with TLE, and was, therefore, on the job until 4:40 pm.  It was a long, warm, humid day.  We rented over 30 golf carts, and I had a lot of mowing to get done.  I staged 20 golf carts to begin the day, and added another 15 later in the morning, and all but 3 of them were rented.  I made my first morning round of the course, raking all four sand traps, and then dragged the cart path leading from holes 9 and 18 back to the Clubhouse.  Mowing wise I mowed the two long grass strips on either side of the cart path,  leading to tees 1 and 10, finishing just before 12 pm, and TLE's lunch break, and spent most of the afternoon washing golf carts.

By time I was ready to head home I told TLE I would not be socializing Friday night as I was out of gas.  We stayed in, and I was in bed before 9 pm.

Saturday was even busier than Friday with over 35 golf carts being rented, so I began my work day at 7 am, in order to finish by 3 pm, and participate in the weekly putting contest.  TLE and I were up at 5 am to watch the consolation Women's FIFA World Cup match between Australia and Sweden, which was won by Sweden 2-0 in a very entertaining match. After I made my initial round of the course I got busy doing more mowing.  I had barely begun to mow the tee boxes at the 10th tee when the belt, which turns the blades on the small Husqvarna, unexpectedly broke....doh!  I haven't used the slow John Deere to mow the tee boxes in months, but I needed to get them done Saturday, so I retrieved it, and began what ended up being a 2.5 hour round of the course mowing the tee boxes at 3, 10, 15, 16, 17 & 18, making it back to the Clubhouse at 11:45 am.

After giving TLE her lunch break I went back to work spending the final 2 hours of my shift washing and stowing over 21 carts.  By the time I left at 3 pm there were still 14 carts outstanding, which I would have to wash first thing Sunday morning.

I managed to play three rounds in the putting contest before losing on the final hole of the 3rd round missing a short 3 foot putt that I make 90% of the time.  I putted well, but so did my opponents...lol.

We spent the evening with Charles and Phyllis sipping wine, and eating leftovers.  Once again TLE and I were in bed by 9 pm in anticipation of being up at 5 am, once again, on Sunday to watch the final Women's FIFA World Cup match between England and Spain.  Should be a good game!

Thanks for stopping by!
