Putt, putt, putt.....

6:13 am - Sunday - July 3rd - Likely, CA - 46° F, 61% humidity, wind 1 mph out of the south by southeast.....crystal clear, blue, sunny skies today with a forecast high of 75° F.  On this date in 2017 TLE and I were at Old Faithful in YNP awaiting its eruption........↴

July 2nd is a blur in my mind.  I was at work at 7 am to wash the 9 golf carts left over from the 1st, and had them with 15 other carts staged by 7:45 am, and ready for the day's assault on the golf course.  With that I was off on the John Deere riding lawn mower to take care of the tee boxes on hole 3.  By the time I returned it was 11 am, and almost time to give TLE her lunch break, so I went out to the driving range to pick up what ball baskets there were, filled them, and returned them to the front office for TLE to sell more driving range balls.  By that time it was 11:30 am, and TLE was off to lunch.

As you know, every Saturday we have a putting contest at 4 pm.  If I have entered the contest I like to take a few practice putts, and since I was getting off at 3:30 pm there would be not time then, so I spent my 30 minute lunch break putting, then went back to work.  This time I drove the ever so slow John Deere all the way out to the blue tee boxe at hole 15, mowed it, and then headed back to do the four tee boxes at 16.  I needed to  be back to the Clubhouse no later than 3 pm to get all 5 electric carts washed, and plugged in before I was off at 3:30 pm.  I managed to do all of that, head home for a quick shower, and then back for the putting contest by 3:50 pm.

We had 36 putters Saturday, and it was a lot of fun.  I made it to the 4th round....one shy of the final four, before succumbing on the 5 hole to my opponent....it is the best I have putted to date, and I'm loving my new Carbite putter even more.

We had a pot luck for a couple who lives here at the park celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary, and did not get home until 7:30 pm.....I was one tired puppy by the time I hit the sheets at 9 pm to recharge for another busy day Sunday....we are hosting another golf tournament, and I've got 15 golf carts still to be washed this morning (Sunday) before the tournament begins at 9 am, so I'm off to do that right now!

Thanks for stopping by!
