Shotgun!

6:22 am - Monday - July 4th - Likely, CA - 52° F, 59% humidity, wind 1 mph out of the south by southeast.....cloudy skies today with a forecast high of 73° F.  On this date in 2012 TLE and I were on the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene, ID......↴

HAPPY 4th OF JULY!!

July 3rd was the date of the annual Lassen High School Charity fund raiser golf tournament.  As you will recall, when I left work Saturday afternoon there were 15 golf carts which had not been washed and put away.  I was on the job at 7 am, and by 7:40 am they had all been washed, and staged for the shotgun start tournament.  Since Mike (course marshal) was playing in the tournament it fell to me to do the honors, so that is what I did until it was time for TLE's lunch break.....a nice, easy morning.....just what I needed.....

.....Bob, our golf cart mechanic, gifted me this shirt (he had two), so I was appropriately attired for the 4th of July weekend.  I spent most of my time up around the 15th tee where I can see 3, or 4 fairways at the same time, to be sure everyone moved along, and there were no bottlenecks, which there were not.....an easy morning filled with great views to be sure.....

......I headed back to the Clubhouse around 11:15 am, and spent another easy hour whilst TLE took her break.  The afternoon was filled with washing and putting away golf carts, and by 3:30 pm I had all but 5 accounted for, and put away....a much better outcome than Saturday!

I'm off now to get ready for the July 4th onslaught at the Clubhouse.  Our tee times roster is full, and we will probably rent over 30 golf carts today.

Thanks for stopping by!
