Clouds, but no rain.....

6:18 am - Thursday - June 15th - LPG&RVR - 39° F, humidity 68%, wind 1 mph out of the northwest.....crystal clear, blue, sunny skies today with a forecast high of 72° F.  On this date in 2017 TLE and I had just arrived at our RV park on the Yellowstone River in Gardiner, MT where we would spend the next 4 months......↴

Wednesday began with crystal clear, blue, sunny skies, but by noon time we had heavy cloud cover again.  Are we going to get rain again?  Nope....the cloud cover began to break up by mid afternoon, and we had a nice rainless afternoon and evening, but I get ahead  of myself.

I initially staged 12 golf carts being uncertain about how busy we would be, but we ended up renting just 10 golf carts all day.  I made my morning rounds of the golf course finding just a few goose/duck turds on one of the #3 tee boxes.....nice....I then spent the next hour weeding and raking all four sand traps.  Weeding is kind of a relative term two months into the season.  Since I have been weeding them at least once a week there are very few weeds to pull, so the raking takes most of the time.  I received a phone call while I was raking the tee box at the 15th hole from TLE advising the guy brining two porta potties for our 'Stellar Group' had arrived, and needed to be shown where they were to be staged, so I had to drive in from the 15th hole, take care of that, then return to finish the job.

By 10 am I was back at the Clubhouse trading my golf cart for the small Husqvarna riding lawnmower.  I began by mowing the grass along both sides of the cart path which takes golfers to tees #1 and #10, and that took the better part of two hours, and then it was time to give TLE her lunch break, plus take mine.

There still was a lot of mowing left to be done after my lunch break, so around 2 pm I headed out to the back of hole #11 to mow the grass DeWayne cannot get to with the large Jacobsen rough mower.  By the time I returned from mowing behind #11, and #10, plus mowing the tee boxes for #10 it was about 3:30 pm, and time to begin washing, and putting away the 10 golf carts we had rented.  I finished that task around 4:40 pm, and it was time for me to clock out from work for the day....perfect!

While I waited for TLE to close down the office I spent about 15 minutes putting on the practice green, and then headed down to the entrance to flip the sign, and post the available sites for late arrivals without reservations.

TLE made taco salad for dinner accompanied by Margaritas.  After dinner it was so nice outside that I decided to head out to the 'viewing deck' to enjoy the early evening breezes.  I didn't go back inside until 8 pm.  TLE was reading a book, and decided not to join me, which is cool.  Sometimes it is nice to sit by one's self sipping a couple of fingers of Scotch, smoking a good cigar, thinking, and listening to good music on the Etta James channel on Pandora.

Thanks for stopping by!
