7:45 am - Thursday - September 7th - LPG&RVR - 46° F, humidity 67%, wind 2 mph out of the southeast......crystal clear, blue, sunny skies today with a forecast high of 80° F.  On this date in 2022 I set up our Starlink for the first time....had internet within 5 minutes.....↴ 

Around 9 am I drove Club Car Villager #20 over to the 'Caddyshack' to pick up some tools.....a rock rake, a leaf rake, the hula hoe, and our battery powered hedge trimmer to do some cleanup work around our site.  It seems we will be returning to LPG&RVR again next April, and until we get our permanent site up the hill we wanted to make site 55 a little more livable by cutting back some of the native bushes, clearing some weeds, and raking away some rocks.

I didn't take before pictures, but the area in the picture directly below was full of weeds, and rocks......now it is weed free, and raked free of rocks.....

.....the area around the 'lower deck' was hemmed in by large native bushes, so using the hedge trimmer I cut about 5 bushes back making it easier to walk around behind the popup canopy, plus raked away a lot of rocks...

.....on the left of the 'lower deck' there were three bushes I trimmed back considerably, plus I added a few more large rocks to the border we began to build a couple of months ago.....

.....after raking all the debris into 6 piles I retrieved one of our small gardening trailers and hauled three loads of brush, rocks and other debris to our burn pile where they will be incinerated at a later date.  In all it took me 4 hours of continuous work.  TLE and I extended our rock border on both ends, and eventually it will wrap around the 'lower deck'.

The air quality, and clarity have been remarkable lately

By the time I finished I was ready for a hot shower, and a nap, and they happened in that order.  By 5 pm I had recovered so we decided to grill a sirloin steak on the Sea-B-Que around 6 pm.  We not only ate alfresco, but we played Phase 10 afterwards.  It was a close game, going back and forth, but I won on the last draw of the game catching TLE with all her cards in her hands....I had to as I had accumulated too many points during the match.  Had we both gone out she would have won, having fewer points than I.
