If golf were easy.....

8:27 am - Thursday - July 4th - LPG&RVR - 67° F, humidity 23%. wind 2 mph out of the north by northeast......crystal clear, blue sunny skies today with a forecast high of 96° F.  Happy 248th Birthday America! On this date in 2013 TLE and I were on our way to Great Falls, MT on US-191....beautiful drive.....we were in a caravan of three Newells....that is us in the distance.....Tom & Darlene McCloud's 2002 Newell in the foreground......

Wednesday was another golf day for me....my third Wednesday in a row golfing with Mower Mike and John.  It was a mixed bag for me....more bad shots than I would like to remember, but there were some bright moments......I hit two of the four par 3's in regulation, and parred one of them, and I was on the 18th in regulation, and parred it.  Otherwise I hit maybe 4 good drivers out of 14, and that was my issue.  Most of my fairway wood shots were good, including my 3 wood, which I have had difficulty hitting in the past, but on Wednesday 80% of my 3 wood shots were good.  And that is the thing about golf.  Trying to get all aspects of your game on track in one round is difficult.  If golf were easy everyone would be playing it....lol!  I've been on a roll lately, but this most recent 18 hole round humbled me once again.

We teed off at 8:45 am, and finished around 1 pm.....just over 4 hours of golf, and my back feels great today....just a little stiffness as one might expect, but otherwise, fine.  By the time I got home TLE already had the A/C running.  I spent the balance of the hot afternoon in doors, reading the latest Jack Carr book, Red Sky Mourning, which is the 7th in the Terminal List series.  As always this book was also a page turner.  I finished the book around 9 pm.

As we approach July 10th, which will be our half way mark of the summer season here at LPG&RVR we are having a great summer.  This upcoming 7 day period will be the hottest part of the summer, it appears.  Hopefully temps will settle back down into the 90's for July and August like they did last year.

If any of you out there are looking for a job to finish off your summer we have an opening here at LPG&RVR.....4 days working, 4 days off.  You would share my job......staging carts each morning you work, cleaning them, mowing, trimming, irrigation, etc.  $16/hour for all hours worked, plus your full hookup site for free.  Free golf, free golf cart, free gas for your golf cart, and free driving range.  And, the best part of this job....the wonderful people with whom you will work.

Thanks for stopping by!
